Cole Mumper is an aspiring visual journalist living in Oak Harbor, Washington.

 

My name is Cole Mumper, and I am an aspiring visual journalist living in Oak Harbor, WA. I studied journalism at Western Washington University from 2019 to 2022 and worked for the Western Front during Winter Quarter 2021. Although I majored in visual journalism, I am experienced with reporting, writing news stories, and I am eager for opportunities to work on design. I like to think of myself as a creative person, but I will gladly listen to any advice people are willing to give me and try to incorporate it whenever possible. I believe that communication is vital for the success of a project, and I frequently contact the other parties about the project in order to ensure that they know its progress, clarify issues quickly, and ensure a better project. I have a keen eye for patterns and I’m willing to improvise a bit in order to get the right shot. My love for design and art drives me to pursue visual journalism. I am a hard worker who always does my best on whatever task I’m given and does everything in my power to ensure that whatever assignment I am given, big or small, is completed on time and that it is quality work.
